VIDEO: Dragon hands out free membership to new gym

2:00pm Thu 28th Jan 10:: written by Nick Mayo

A dragon flew into Slough to open a new gym this week.

James Caan, star of TV's Dragons' Den, carried out the official opening of the Nuyuu gym in Herschel Street on Monday.

Members were given the chance to put forward a one-minute pitch to the millionaire about why they deserved to win a year's free membership to the club, which is part of a new small chain of budget gyms.

The fearsome television dragon told the crowd he had not filmed the popular show for more than a year and was 'having withdrawal symptoms' and wanted to hear some pitches.

Nuyuu took over the former LA Fitness gym next to Travelodge and refurbishment has been going on since October.

WATCH: Find out how the pitchers got on and hear from the dragon himself in our video report.
