The Bridge House pub in Paley Street is holding a bonfiire and firework party plus music from the Soul'd out Band tonight from 6.30pm.
Refreshments include hot dogs and burgers and mulled wine. Tickets £5, under 10s go free.
There will be a bonfire and fireworks display at The Queens Head in Windsor Road.

Celebrity model Katie Price will be standing out from the crowd at the Queensmere Shopping Centre.
The tabloid favourite, known to most as Jordan, will be signing copies of her new style book, 'Standing Out: My Look, My Style, My Life', at Waterstones from 3.30pm.
A spectacular fireworks show is sure to go off with a bang in Wargrave after more than £1,000 was raised for the display.
Organised by the 1st Wargrave Scouts and taking place at the Recreation Ground, guests can expect a warm drink and a thrilling 25-minute display.
A large bonfire will be lit at 6pm with fireworks scheduled for at 6.30pm.
Admission to the event is by donation on the gate.
A Halloween dance party at Monkey Island Hotel in Bray takes place on Saturday night from 8.30pm-1am.

A continuous stream of music will flow from Sheargold Pianos in King Street and staff are calling for shoppers to support the charity event.
The store is hosting a piano marathon to raise money for the British Heart Foundation and volunteers will take it in turns between 9am and 5pm to play a Kawai piano.
Donations will be collected through the day. All ages and abilities are welcome to take part, with each 'leg' lasting a minimum of five minutes.

Maidenhead Farmers' Market takes place at Grove Road car park from 10am to 1pm.
The Royal Borough joins the country's tribute to those who gave their lives in two world wars and the many subsequent conflicts with civic services in Maidenhead and Windsor on Remembrance Day. At 10.45 am in Windsor the Mayor, Cllr Jesse Grey, will lead the Act of Remembrance at the war memorial in the High Street, where wreaths will be laid.
The Deputy Mayor, Cllr Catherine Bursnall, will lead the civic party for the Act of Remembrance and wreath-laying at the war memorial, St Ives Road, Maidenhead, starting at 10.50am.
More than 2,000 visitors are expected at the National VW Indoor Fair and Swap Meet.
Celebrating its 20th year, the event is for anyone who wants to buy anything Volkswagen, whether it is new-old stock, spares, parts, literature, collectibles or magazines.

There will be a curry night and live music at Queen Victoria in Hare Hatch to raise money for a charity in Mombasa called Grandson's of Abraham Rescue Centre in Mombasa.
Tickets are £12 and available at the event which starts at 6pm.
A parade will take place in Twyford to honour those who died in the first and second world wars and current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
This year's parade is being organised by Twyford Scouts and will be led by Maidenhead Concert Band.
It starts from the Medical Centre car park at 10.10am and will halt briefly at the Bowling Green for veterns to join in. Aftwards a service will be held at St Mary's Church in Station Road.
