A second Tesco Express store is to open up its doors in Burnham in a matter of months.

Work is now nearly finished on the new Burnham Lane store, on the site which was formerly the Red Squirrel pub.

It will open at 8am on October 28 and has created 15 new jobs, with staff in the final stages of their training programme.

Store manager Mohammad Anees said: "We have recruited a great team of people and I am looking forward to working with my new staff. We are delighted to be opening a Tesco Express store in Burnham and look forward to playing an active role in the local community."

The shop will be open from 6am till 11pm, 7 days a week, and has a cash point, a bakery and alcohol on sale.
