4:55pm Tue 15th Sep 09:: written by Sonia Kapur

The Advertiser and MP Theresa May would like to say thank you to all our readers who supported the Who Cares Wins campaign.

All 7,223 slips and signatures were presented today to Sally Kemp, chairman of NHS Berkshire East.

The campaign was launched to fight for the Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) at St Mark's Hospital to remain a permanent facility. It is currently running as a trial scheme.

The future of the unit is due to be discussed by the board next week.
