Crowds flocked to the banks of the Thames on Saturday for the return of Maidenhead Regatta to the town after a two year absence.

Hundreds turned up to watch competitors take part in the annual event held by Maidenhead Rowing Club.

Boys, girls, men and women all took part in the races from the Bray bend of the river to the Sounding Arch. There were more than 100 races held throughout the day.

In the morning, prizes were awarded by representatives from the regatta's main sponsors, Pink Accounting Resources Ltd.

The mayor of Windsor and Maidenhead, Cllr Jesse Grey, and his wife Christine presented prizes in the afternoon.

See this week's Advertiser sports section for the full results.
