Garden centre was cordoned off after oil spillage

The fire service were called to a garden centre near Maidenhead yesterday.

Alarms were raised at about 1.30pm at Stubbings Estate in Henley Road in Stubbings after a wall mounted transformer caught fire.

Oil dripping from the 11,000 volt transformer onto cars worried the firefighters who set up a 20m cordon to keep the public away.

Southern Electric staff arrived soon after and took over from the firefighters who left by 3pm.
