Taste of the silver screen for Royal Borough's deputy leader

A taste of the silver screen has been enjoyed by the deputy leader of the Royal Borough.

Cllr Simon Dudley (Con, Maidenhead Riverside) is the executive producer of action comedy film Plastic, which was released in April.

Set in Miami, the film follows a group of students who have to find £2m for a sadistic crime boss or face the consequences.

Inspired by a true story of a £5m diamond heist, Plastic features a host of young British stars.

These include former Hollyoaks actress Emma Rigby, BAFTA award winning Will Poulter, Alfie Allen of Game of Thrones fame and Downton Abbey's Ed Speleers.

"It has got a great young British cast," said Cllr Dudley.

"It is a bit of fun."

His son Jack, 20, a student at University College London, is also an executive producer of the film.

Plastic is being screened at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts in Altwood Road on Thursday, at 8pm.
