Hurley Cricket Club skipper Matt Hampton was left with mixed emotions in a recent match when he thumped a six over cow corner - only to see the ball smash through the windscreen of his own car.
The club captain left the game early to get his BMW fixed in time for his holiday the next day.
Hurley eventually lost the game to Fiddlers Cricket Club on Sunday, July 20 by eight wickets.
Meanwhile in Waltham St Lawrence on Saturday, flying ants forced cricketers to abandon their match.
