Police are investigating after a man was found with a head injury in Woodlands Park Road in the early hours of Sunday.
Officers and an ambulance crew were called to the junction of Heynes Green at 3.15am.
The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment to a head injury which police said was not thought to be life-threatening.
Police originally said there were no suspicious circumstances but are now treating it is an assault with injury.
