Pensioner dies after being hit by a car in St Mark's Hospital car park

A 79-year-old man died after being hit by a car in the St Mark's Hospital car park in Maidenhead.

Police were called shortly after 9.30am after reports that an unattended silver Vauxhall Zafira hit a pedestrian in the hospital’s car park.

The pensioner from Bracknell was trapped by the car and died in the car park.

Investigating officer PC Melanie Todd, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “I would like to speak to any witnesses who saw the collision or anyone with any information which could assist in the investigation.”
