Young explorers from Cox Green School have headed off on an Indian adventure which has been 18 months in the planning.
A total of 11 students from years 11, 12 and 13 flew out to Ladakh on Wednesday, July 16, along with two teachers and expedition leaders from True Adventure.
The group will stay in the country for three weeks, helping to repair a school, giving out school supplies, trekking and taking in the sights.
Each member had to raise £3,200 to take part and the youngsters said they were 'terrified, excited and glad to be leaving mum!"
