Alternative Heathrow Airport plan to be presented to councillors

The second of two major plans to extend facilities at Heathrow Airport will be presented to councillors on the Royal Borough's Aviation Forum on Wednesday.

Paul Dimoldenberg and Jock Lowe will be at the Guildhall, in Windsor High Street at 7pm to tell councilliors about their 'Heathrow Hub' plan to extend the north runway to twice its present length.

This is one of three schemes currently being considered by the Davies Commission.

The Heathrow management has its own plan for a new runway to the northwest of the airport. While a third plan being considered would see expansion carried out at Gatwick instead.
