Schoolgirl wins place in Top Trumps UK grand final

A Top Trumps aficionado has won a place in the UK grand final.

Chloe Wilson will contest in the card game against 11 other children at Hamley's Toy Store in Regent Street on Saturday.

The nine-year-old, who attends the holiday club held at the Claires Court Schools in College Avenue, Maidenhead has come top of more than 50,000 entrants who entered preliminary heats.

The national competition has been organised by Top Trumps to find the best players.

The game involves cards of varying themes each containing a list of numerical data and the aim is to compare the values to try to win an opponent's card.

Chloe, who lives in Datchet and is a pupil at Braywood CE First School in Oakley Green Road, Oakley Green, started out in the tournament which was run at the holiday club.

The next set of rounds were played online.

The winner will receive a trophy and VIP ride on the London Eye.
