A 48-year-old man has been convicted of trying to kidnap and sexually assault a woman in Maidenhead.
In the early hours of Saturday, June 1, Martin Cain, from Stormpits Road, snuck behind a 31-year-old woman in Shoppenhangers Road and put his hands over her mouth.
Cain grabbed her right arm and tried to pull her into an alleyway, but she screamed and was able to break free and run away.
Cain was arrested shortly after, and charged the next day.
He plead guilty to a charge of attempted kidnap with intent to commit a sexual assault at Reading Crown Court on Monday.
He will be sentenced at the same court on 28 March.
