Drivers have reported total gridlock in Maidenhead this morning, with major routes into the town centre at a standstill.
There were reports of huge delays on the M4, A4, A404, and the A308.
A crash on the M4 Eastbound at Slough has caused tailbacks along the motorway, stretching back into Maidenhead, with long delays at the Braywick roundabout this morning.
The crash, between junction 6 and junction 5 of the motorway, happened at 6.30am this morning.
The Highways Agency said the road was reopened at 8am this morning, but there were still delays of up to 90 minutes on the motorway.
The flood-affected A4094 Sutton Road and B447 are still shut around Cookham.
This has added to the congestion as drivers seek alternative routes into and from Cookham.
