A former Maidenhead school pupil's dream day was topped off as she bumped into Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt at her wedding reception.

2. Woman in town centre collision airlifted to hospital

A woman has sustained 'life threatening injuries’ after being involved in a collision with a lorry in Maidenhead.

It happened just after 1pm on Monday, April 29 on the one way system near Grenfell Island.

3. Cox Green murder probe: Victim, 38, named

A woman who police suspect could have been murdered in Cox Green on Friday, January 18 has been named as Surjit Kaur Pandher.

Surjit, also known as Sukhi, was 38-years-old and lived in Culley Way.

4. Woman sexually assualted on secluded footpath in early hours

A woman was sexually assaulted while walking along The Gullet in Maidenhead.

The victim was approached by an Asian man in a black hooded top as she walked near Brunel Close at about 5.30am on Tuesday, May 28.

5. Heated four hour debate ends in deferral of Oldfield School move plans

A heated and emotional debate over whether to approve plans to move Oldfield Primary School to a new site ended in stalemate on Wednesday, September 18.

More than 100 people packed into the Desborough Suite at Maidenhead Town Hall to hear councillors discuss the merits of the proposal, which would see a 420-place school built on greenbelt land in Bray Road.

6. Pub fire landlord: 'My world has just collapsed in a heap of flames'

A staff member of The Two Brewers pub in Marlow had a lucky escape in the early hours of this morning as the town centre pub went up in flames

The fire, of which the cause is still unknown, swept through the pub in St Peter Street at about 2am on Friday, August 23 destroying 80 per cent of the first floor and roof as well as causing water damage to the remainder of the building.

7. RESULTS: Hundreds take part in the 2013 Pharmalink Maidenhead half marathon

Spectators gathered along the streets of Maidenhead on Sunday, Setpember 8 to cheer on runners in the third Pharmalink Maidenhead half marathon.

The 13.1 mile race set off from the town hall in St Ives Road at 9.30am, looped up Sutton Road to Cookham before bringing runners back to the starting point.

8. Furze Platt crash victim dies in hospital

A man in his 20s has died after the silver Skoda Octavia car he was driving crashed into a lamppost on Friday, August 9..

It happened at 6.45am as the car was travelling towards the centre of Maidenhead on Furze Platt Road - it crashed off the road near the junction with Cranbrook Drive.

9. Investigation launched after third sex attack in a week

The hunt is on for a man who sexually assaulted a woman walking down an alleyway off Gringer Hill in Maidenhead on Sunday, June 2.

The victim, who is in her fifties, was walking along the alleyway at about 2.40pm when she was approached by a man who blocked her path and sexually assaulted her.

10. Maidenhead and Slough voted for in top 100 'crap towns'

A list of the UK's 100 worst places to live in Britain has been revealed and includes both Maidenhead and Slough.

The East Berkshire destinations have been voted for be members of the public and appear in the list along with towns including Croydon, Plymouth and Hull.
