Mayor makes festive visit to police and fire stations

The Mayor of Windsor and Maidenhead visited Maidenhead's emergency services on Monday.

Cllr Andrew Jenner travelled to both the police and fire stations in Bridge Road to make the annual visit.

He said: "It's just nice for me to thank them on behalf of the Royal Borough and residents for all the work they do and thank them for working on Christmas Day."

The mayor was shown a new state-of-the-art fire engine by Maidenhead delta crew manager Greg Pearson.

"It's every kids dream to sit in a fire engine. They just wouldn't let me put the lights on," joked Cllr Jenner.

"It's amazing the stuff they have got there. Real toys for boys."
