Rail disruption set to affect travellers

Rail travellers are set to experience disruption on the trains over the festive period.

Work on Crossrail, electrification and Reading projects by Network Rail will affect normal services.

From December 27 to January 1 and on January 4-5, there will be a reduced service on trains between London Paddington, Slough and Reading.

Trains will not stop at Acton Mainline, West Ealing and Hanwell but passengers can use their National Rail tickets on Transport for London services.

Due to upgrade work at Maidenhead Station, a rail replacement bus service will run between Maidenhead and Marlow.

There will be one non-stop service and one which calls at all stations en-route each hour.

A revised service will run between Maidenhead and Marlow from December 30 to January 3, which will see fewer Bourne End to London Paddington direct trains.

There will be a revised timetable for trains running between Twyford and Henley-on-Thames and trains between Slough and Windsor and Eton Central from December 27 to January 1.
