Chanel and Prada donate items as part of charity shop treasure hunt

Designer goods could be hidden in Cancer Research UK charity shops in Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead as part of a treasure hunt launched in the South-east.

The first Tatler Treasure Hunt includes some of the biggest names in fashion, such as Chanel, Burberry and Prada among the list of 30 taking part.

The designers will donate one piece a season for the next three seasons to the hunt in a bid to encourage people to pop in to their nearest store.

Handbags, clothes, shoes and scarves will be dropped off at random and sold for a fraction of their price alongside goods donated by the public throughout September.

Kate Reardon, editor of Tatler, says: "With the Tatler Treasure Hunt more than 30 of the world's top designers have committed to donating one piece a season for the next three seasons to be sold in Cancer Research UK shops all over the country.

“These will be delivered to random shops at random times, so it's always worthwhile popping in – you might just find something spectacular.”

The charity has outlets in Maidenhead High Street, Peascod Street in Windsor and Park Street in Slough.
