E-fit released in connection with Maidenhead sex assault

An e-fit image of a man has been released in connection with a sexual assault in Maidenhead.

The attack happened on Sunday at about 2.41pm in an alleyway off Gringer Hill.

A woman in her 50s was approached by a man who blocked her path and sexually assaulted her. She screamed several times and he fled the scene, knocking her over in the process.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses.

The offender is a white man, aged in his 40s and of slim build.

He is about 5ft 8in tall, with short brown hair, was wearing sunglasses, a brown shirt with short sleeves and green shorts at the time.

DC Sara Harrison said: "We are continuing to appeal to information in relation to this event.

"If anyone recognises the person depicted in the e-fit, please contact police.

"We have increased uniformed patrols in Maidenhead and investigations are currently ongoing."
