Police have said they believe the gates to the Oakley Green Cemetery were forced open by a car this week.
Officers on patrol heard an alarm sounding from the Windsor Road cemetery at about 3.30am on Wednesday.
They found the gates had been forced, and securing chains on the gates were cut with bolt croppers and left on the ground.
Doors to the outbuilding had also been forced, but nothing was stolen.
