Girls take to the running track for Cancer Research

A damp Saturday morning failed to deter five pupils from Newlands Girls School from running 106 laps at Braywick running track.

The five friends from Maidenhead, all aged 11 to 12, have already raised more than £100 for Cancer Research after managing 20 laps each at the weekend. They are Kelly Bartlett, Hannah Cook, Beth Sinnott, Hannah Sheikhy and Lucy Banfield.

Proud mum Sarah Banfield said: ''I am proud that at such a young age they find the motivation and desire to reach out and help those in need."
