The future of Maidenhead was looking bright as major players from the Royal Borough and beyond gathered to discuss development at the Transforming Maidenhead event.
Business leaders, community representatives and politicians, including Theresa May MP, spoke today about the importance of investment in the town centre.
The home secretary supported the regeneration plans, saying she was confident that the future of investment in Maidenhead was bright.
She said that it was now time to put proposals for work in key areas into action.
She added: "The town centre is the heart of the community and gives residents a real sense of belonging."
Speakers at the Adobe European headquarters in Market Street focused on the prospects for six key areas set out in the Maidenhead Town Centre Area Action Plan, including York Road and Broadway Triangle.
The aim is to attract investors to these areas, to undertake huge changes in the coming years, and make Maidenhead a better place for residents to live.
