A 19-year-old woman accused of crashing her car into another in Station Parade car park in Cookham has been fined. Victoria Woodhams, of Camden Road, Maidenhead, was driving her Volkswagen Polo in the car park on July 20 last year when she allegedly caused damage to a silver Citroen C2. She was initially accused of failing to stop and failing to report the accident to the police, but both charges against her were dropped.

A sneak thief stole an elderly widow's purse which contained a sentimental letter from her dead husband. The 75-year-old was shopping in Sainsbury's in Marlow on Tuesday when she noticed her black leather purse was missing. The thief struck in the West Street store between 11.15am and 11.50am.
