Maids progressing ahead of league

10:34am Thu 4th Sep 08:: written by Graeme Copas

Maidenhead RFC may have lost 30-17 to Tring Park in a friendly on Saturday, but coach Ricky Khan is taking more positives out of the match than negatives.

He said: “We have to work on our handling, and reduce those mistakes, but otherwise we did well.

“We play Hertford on Saturday for what will be a real test for us.
“It’ll be a tough match, but is the best preparation for the league the following week.”

The club are expected to announce some more new arrivals, including a centre and a prop next week.

- The South West Division 2 East campaign gets under way on Saturday, September 13 away to Cheltenham.
