FA CUP: Rebels go through as Burnham crash out

Slough Town FC booked their place in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup with a 5-2 demolition of Abingdon last night (Tuesday).

The Rebels drew 1-1 away on Saturday in the preliminary round to force a home replay and finish the finished the job proper thanks to a brace from Matthew Platt and contributions from Eamonn McConigley and new boys Adam Durrant and Byron Bubb.

They will now face Southern League Premier outfit Farnborough in the next round.

Burnham crashed out of the FA Cup at the first hurdle for the third straight season, losing 2-1 in their reply at home to Aylesbury Vale. On Saturday they had earnt a replay with a 1-1 draw.

Elsewhere, Marlow won 4-0 last night to book their place in the next round after a 2-2 draw on Saturday. Next up for Marlow is Newport Pagnall Town away.

Windsor & Eton crashed out at the weekend when they went down 2-0 at home to Aylesbury United.
