The end of the pier show?

10:52am Fri 29th Aug 08:: written by Dave Goodwin

Magpies face a tough test tomorrow but manager Johnson 'Drax' Hippolyte is in confident mood after his side's best start to the season for years.

Following last night's training session Drax reported new injury worries, but warned that the task will be a tough one.

"Weston are a very good side," he said. They have stared the season well and I am expecting a tough game."

Although Weston 's historic pier may have burned down, the Magpies will get a hot reception from a side which has beaten Havant and Waterlooville and Dorchester Town on their travels and will now be trying to turn their away form into home points.

The seasiders stand seventh, three points behind United, after dropping two points on Monday when they could only manage a 1-1 home draw with Worcester City.

On Monday Magpies are on the road again, this time a shorter trip to face second-from-bottom Fisher Athletic (7.45pm). The South London outfit have picked up just one point so far, a 1-1 home draw with Havant on Monday.
