WATCH: Eastenders' star at Fifield fun day

6:21pm Mon 18th Aug 08:: written by Sonia Kapur

A famous face popped into Fifield on Saturday to show her support for a local charity.

Lucy Benjamin, who used to play Lisa Mitchell in BBC's Eastenders, was back in familiar surroundings when she attended Fifield's fun day at the Fifield Inn Pub in Fifield Road.

The annual event which has been running for five years, was organised to raise money for charities Rosie's Rainbow Fund and Thames Hospicecare. The event this year managed to raise over £7,000 for the two charities.

Rosie's Rainbow Fund was set up by Carolyn Mayling of Redroofs Theatre, after she lost her daughter, Rosie, in 2002.
Rosie died from vasculitis disease and it was her wish to raise money to help other children who suffer from illnesses.

Watch our video report of the fun day above.
