Recycling firm to leave Taplow

2:19pm Mon 18th Aug 08:: written by Gareth McPherson

Relieved residents in Taplow are celebrating the imminent departure of a recycling firm which they say has caused misery with its round-the-clock lorry trips.

Heavy goods vehicles going to and from the Severnside plant whizzed just inches past riverside homes and businesses in Mill Lane as part of the ongoing saga, which residents have described as 'round-the-clock torment'.

The firm said that it will be completely out of the area by Friday, while the owners of the site have insisted it will not be used for heavy industry again.

Heather Fenn, who has lived in Mill Lane since 1991, described the news as 'exciting' and said that it will completely transform the lives of residents.
