Do you wake up each morning, look in the mirror and think how lucky you are to live or work in Slough?
Well you should do, according to Slough Borough Council.
And to drive the message home, the ‘Proud to be Slough’ campaign is set to launch next month as the town celebrates 70 years as a borough.
The campaign aims to encourage a sense of pride, change people's perceptions of the town and dispel the negative myths.
It is time to celebrate Slough for its diversity, as a home to some of the world's best known businesses and a place where people want to live, work, learn, shop and invest now and in the future.
About 100 revellers at Music and Dance in the Park got an early look at the logo for the campaign when they were given a free T-shirt.
Sponsors include BAA Heathrow, SEGRO, Crowborough Properties, O2, Development Securities, Barrett Howe and Slough Borough Council.
The campaign launches on September 14 on the anniversary.
