10:00am Sun 27th Jul 08:: written by Kelly Rawlings

The family of Peter Jones who died in the River Thames this week has paid tribute to a 'dedicated husband, father, son, brother and friend'.

Caroline Jones, the wife of the 43-year-old from Slough, said: "Peter and I married on the 12th July this year. It was the start of our new life together, and now this tragic accident has taken him from us.

"Peter enjoyed life and was a dedicated husband, father, son, brother and friend who will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him."

She thanked all the people who helped look for Peter and the police for their efforts and support of the family.

Mr Jones' daughter Charlotte added: "He was the best dad ever and loved so much by his family. Words can’t express the massive void his death has left behind for me, our family and friends.

"He will always live in our hearts forever and ever - we love you, we will never forget you dad."

Mr Jones was reported missing at about 9.50pm on Wednesday after he fell in the Thames while attending a river boat party.
His body was found by police on Friday afternoon.
