OLYMPIC COUNTDOWN: Video interview with Marlow rower Annie Vernon

9:12am Thu 24th Jul 08:: written by Kelly Rawlings

Despite the big names of Redgrave and Pinsent, Britain has never won an Olymic gold medal in a women's rowing event.

But all that could be about to change.

Marlow rower Annie Vernon (pictured right) is in the final stages of preparation for the Beijing Olympics and is intent on leaving her making on history as part of the women's quadruple sculls.
She will row alongside Olympic silver medallists from Athens, Katherine Grainger, Debbie Flood and Frances Houghton.

See our video interview with Annie Vernon here.

Log on again next week for an interview with fellow rower Sarah Winckless who heads to Beijing as part of the women's eights.
