Woman burnt in house fire has died

A woman who suffered serious burns in an 'explosion’ at a house in Cippenham has died.

The badly burned victim, who has not been named, was seen by neighbours being lifted into an ambulance yesterday afternoon following the blaze.

Her condition yesterday evening was described as ‘critical’ and she died in the early hours of this morning.

Police are still investigating the cause of the fire at the end terrace property in Fotheringay Gardens.
