Man arrested after A4 collision

Police have arrested a 44 year-old man from Southcote for dangerous driving in relation to an incident which happened near Twyford on June 30. 

He has been released on bail to return to Loddon Valley police station on September 1.

A 57 year-old man, from Twyford, sustained head injuries and broken bones including leg, arm and shoulder. He remains in the Royal Berkshire Hospital at this time.

A silver Vauxhall Vectra collided with the cyclist on the A4 at Charvil, near Twyford, Reading. The collision occurred on the roundabout on the A4 at the junction with the Old Bath Road near to the Texaco garage.
