Our resident horseracing expert Benny The Book is back in the saddle this week, having been under the weather for a couple of weeks.
Here are his top tips for the weekend's horseracing...
Attention tomorrow will be on Sandown and the Coral Eclipse Stakes which has attracted a high class field but could be complicated by the forecast rain.
My choice is Campanologist, winner of the King Edward VII Stakes but Frankie Dettori's mount is best suited by a quick surface, while his stable companion Literato needs some cut in the ground.
If the rain holds off it could also be worth looking towards Phoenix Tower, second in the Prince of Wales's Stakes at Ascot where he didn't get the best of luck in running.
One worth watching in the 5.05pm at Sandown is the Tony Balding trained Kalahari Gold, who won his maiden at Salisbury in fine style and looks destined for bigger things.
Another on the up is Folk Opera who bids for a three -timer at Haydock (3pm). This Godolphin filly has responded well when asked to quicken in her last two races at York and Haydock.
Finally, this week's column comes to you courtesy of Wallingford Surgery, South Central Ambulance and the Royal Berks Hospital CCU, thank you all.
