NiceNStripy look for next season

11:12am Thu 19th Jun 08:: written by Graeme Copas

Maidenhead United FC have secured two new home kit sponsors for the next two seasons and will be changing the colours of their home shorts and socks.

The club’s new main home shirts sponsor is lawn-cutting specialists NiceNStripy - whose logo will appear on the front of Maidenhead United’s black and white striped home shirts for the next two seasons.

And Maidenhead will be reverting to black shorts and red socks to complete their new-look home kit, a combination the club have used in the past. NiceNStripy will also sponsor Stripes Bar as part of the home kit sponsorship deal.

Jon Leuty, proprietor of the Maidenhead NiceNStripy franchise, said: “I did suggest changing the colours to dark green and light green stripes, as we are a specialist lawn-cutting company, but not surprisingly the club have decided to stick to black and white stripes!”

In addition Maidenhead United have also secured Rugby Estates as their back-of-shirts sponsor for their home kit.

The new home kit and new home kit sponsors means Maidenhead United will start the 2008-9 season with new home and away kits and three new kit sponsors - with Harlequin Travel agreeing to sponsor the Magpies’ new all-red away kit.
