Guest injured in Saxons clash

9:38am Mon 16th Jun 08:: written by Steve Spencer

Tom Guest started for England Saxons at the weekend, but had his game cruelly cut short when he limped off injured before half-time.

The former Maidenhead RFC player helped his side to a 34-12 win over Ireland A, which booked them a place in the Cup Final against Scotland A on Saturday.

Guest, playing at number 8, was forced to withdraw shortly before the break and was replaced by flanker Chris Robshaw.

It remains to be seen whether the Harlequins star will be fit to play in the final.
