Hundreds of people were involved in a running battle in Maidenhead on Sunday as part of Maidenhead Carnival.
The first charity relay marathon brought together 37 groups, drawn from all sections of the community, as they each shared the burdensome 26.2 mile trek around Maidenhead among their 10-man teams.
The route started from Kidwells Park as runners thundered through the High Street before meandering around the North Town Moor and back to the town centre park.
Berkshire College of Agriculture rounded the marathon-length course in the fastest time of 3hrs and 1min.
Organiser Claire Donald from Purple Patch, said: "We were really happy with how it went. There was a fantastic atmosphere and everyone was cheering each other on."
