Famous star gazer Sir Patrick Moore was on hand to open a mini-observatory in Woodlands Park on Saturday.

The veteran broadcaster, who has presented the BBC's Sky at Night show for more than 50 years, was doing the honours for friend and fellow astronomer Bruce Kingsley.

Mr Kingsley is a member of the Maidenhead Astronomical Society, and built the front garden observatory using a 100-year-old planetary telescope which used to belong to Sir Patrick.

Reporter Alastair Beach talks to Sir Patrick Moore. Listen to the interview here.
