Splattering the walls and floors with food is an art form toddlers unfortunately master from an early age.

But getting your messy little angels to put food in their mouths is a challenge for even the most patient of parents.

However the dark days of picking food off the floor on your hands and knees could soon be at an end, after an innovative baby feeding design was cooked up by a Bourne End couple after three years of research which included making clay models and having a second baby.

Anthony and Kaye Broad, of Thames Close, launched the me-feed- me bowl and cutlery set in February after struggling to teach their children the art of feeding themselves.
Tired of the daily meal time toil, the pioneering parents set up Salmon Luke, named after their boys Sam, four, and Luke, three. According to Anthony, the feeding kit helps children to eat independently, and aids their hand to mouth co-ordination.

“We have had amazing feedback so far,” said former IT consultant Anthony. “The children immediately figure out how to use the bowl. They naturally push the food into easy scoop corners which gives them a perfect mouthsized helping of food.”
