Election fraud six appear in court

A group of six men appeared in court this morning in connection with an alleged election fraud in Slough Central last year.
After attending Slough Magistrates' the men have been released on court bail to appear before Reading Crown Court on Monday, April 28 for a preliminary hearing.
The sixth Slough man, Mohammed Aziz, 50, of Wellesley Road, was charged yesterday with conspiracy to defraud and four offences under the Representation of the People Act 1983.
Raja Mohammed Eshaq Khan, 51, of Oban Court, Montem Lane, was charged with conspiracy to defraud on April 11.
Altaf Khan, 30, of Knolton Way; Arshad Mahmood Raja, 52, of Broadmark Road; Mohammed Basharat Khan, 45, of Mirador Crescent; and 19-year-old Yasar Mumtaz, of Wellesley Road, were jointly charged with an offence of conspiracy to defraud under Common Law, and offences under Section 60 and 62A Representation of the People Act 1983, on April 10.
