Elderly people are being warned to watch out after two distraction burglaries in two days.
A man and woman in their eighties were targeted at home in Badger Close, Maidenhead on Wednesday.
Between 4.50pm and 5.10pm they heard a noise and realised a panel in their back door had been smashed.
A man appeared, saying that kids had smashed the door. Then two other men appeared from inside the property and pushed past and ran off.
Cash was stolen from an upstairs room.
Police have released descriptions of the suspects. The first man is white, in his thirties and of medium height and build. He has brown hair and was wearing a maroon-coloured long-sleeve t-shirt and blue jeans.
One of the other men is white, in his thirties, with brown hair. He is shorter than the first man and was wearing a scruffy grey suit jacket.
The third man is white and bigger than the previous two men. No further descriptions are available at this time.
A day earlier in Windsor a man in his nineties was conned by two middle-aged men posing as water board officials.
Some time between 3pm and 3.15pm in Burton Way, they tricked their way into the pensioner's home and while one man kept him talking, the other stole a wallet containing his pension card and cash.
The first man is white, 5ft 10ins and medium build. He has short, light-brown hair and was wearing a blue bomber-style jacket and blue jeans.
The second is described as white, 6ft and of medium build. He has medium-length brown hair and was wearing a jacket and jeans.
Police are not linking the two burglaries but want to hear from anyone with information. Call 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
