Villagers set to have their say on village plan
12:00am Tue 11th Mar 08
A high turn-out is expected at the annual Cookham
Parish Council meeting at Pinder Hall, Lower Road this evening when strong
opposition to the plan is expected.
Confusion surrounds what exactly the
parish council will be able to say on the matter after they voted to remove the
summary of the plan from the public domain at a bizarre council meeting on
Tuesday last week.
The plan has caused great controversy among villagers for
its proposals to introduce new roads and developments in the village, including
a bypass across the Poundfield area.
For a full report on the meeting
see Thursday’s Advertiser.
