12:00am Mon 11th Jun 07:: written by Kelly Rawlings

In response to residents' concerns, police stepped up patrols and used plain-clothed officers for Operation Rebound from Monday to Saturday last week.
A 16-year-old was arrested under Section 5 of the Public Order Act and his moped was seized.
A 20-year-old was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct, assault on a police constable and criminal damage to a police vehicle. The 20-year-old has been cautioned, while the 16-year-old is on police bail.
A total of three mopeds were seized during the week, and alcohol was confiscated from underage drinkers.
PS Jamie Smith from the Bourne End and Wooburn Green neighbourhood team, said: “Any potential troublemakers learnt quickly that we mean business and consequently we received hardly any complaints of antisocial behaviour and no complaints of vandalism last week.”
