Jarvis waits for Gould talks

3:30pm Thu 13th May 10:: written by Steve Spencer

Jamie Jarvis will discuss the future of his Burnham squad with Ian Gould when the chairman returns from the West Indies next week.

Blues boss Jarvis says he will sit down with Gould, who is currently umpiring at the World Twenty20, to talk about how much money he has to play with this summer.

No players have signed on for next season, but Jarvis is hoping to tie a number of them down on contracts in the off-season.

“We’ve got no definites yet,” he said. “I would be surprised if any clubs signed players this early.

“I will sit down with Ian, Malcolm [Higton] and Bob Breen to discuss it.

“There are a few of the guys I’m going to try and put on contracts.”
