Stone hopes for change in fortunes

Marlow boss Kevin Stone says his team just needs a bit of luck to get their season going.

The Blues have started to slip towards the bottom end of the table following a poor run of results.

Tuesday night’s home defeat against Burnham made it four league games without a win for Stone’s team.

But he said the manner of the loss, sealed by a late penalty, reflected how things have been going of late at Oaktree Road.

“I thought we were unlucky not to come away from the game with at least a point,” said Stone.

“We felt they shouldn't have  got the penalty and we had more than enough chances to score.

“We had a great chance at 0-0 when we were clean through in the first half but we missed.

“The opportunities just aren’t going in for us at the moment - we just need a little bit of luck.”
