Celeb singers dazzle at restaurant opening

1:03pm Thu 30th Oct 08:: written by Dan Darlington

Aussie singer and former soap star Natalie Imbruglia made a fashionably late entrance last night at the launch of an African restaurant in Bourne End.

Flashbulbs lit up the room as the pint-sized singer swaggered through the newly renovated Ayoush restaurant to be greeted by owner Moshen Elawadi and she caught up with fellow songstress Beverley Knight.

The famous pair were invited to add some glitz and glamour to the launch of Ayoush in Bourne End, which was bought by the Egyptian restaurateur for less than £200,000 last month.

Both of the girls are friends of his daughter, Heba, and they certainly gave the occasion a little extra sparkle.

A jamboree of Bedouin belly dancers entertained guests and refreshments included champagne and Shisha pipes, which contain a splice of tobacco and fruit flavouring.
