Crime-busting cops to be commended

Top cops will be rewarded for their bravery and efforts in a ceremony tomorrow.

Sgt Spencer Kervin wil be commended for his courage when confronted with a disturbed man who was threatening him with a firearm in Maidenhead.
His tactical awareness and sound judgement ensured the man was disarmed and restrained without anybody being hurt.
PC Ian Kenny will also be commended for his part in the incident on September 24.

Det Con Christian Bryant, based at Slough CID, will be recognised for his professionalism and commitment during an investigation into class A drugs supply in Slough.
His work resulted in the two largest ever street seizures of class A drugs in the Thames Valley and the conviction of three drug dealers.

They are among 17 officers from a range of departments across Thames Valley who will be rewarded at the ceremony at Drayton Park Golf Club.

Insp Mark Milward, from the community safety team in Maidenhead is one of 10 officers across the force who will receive a long service award after completing 22 years of service.
