Workers will be spreading the word about how to tackle crime next week.

The Royal Borough event, due to start on Monday, supports the Home Office's campaign called 'Not in My Neighbourhood Week.'

The five-day event will see community wardens, police officers and staff from housing associations hosting stands around the borough.

They will be offer crime reduction advice, and the police will also carry out high-visibility patrols.

Cllr Jesse Grey, (Con, Datchet) cabinet member for community safety, said: "I would urge anyone living in or visiting the borough to pop along to one of the events to learn more about the work we are doing."

The first activity in Maidenhead is due to be on Tuesday with the fire service and community wardens in the North Town area. They will meet at Maidenhead Fire Station in Bridge Road, at 2pm before doing an environmental audit.

The workers will also be at Sainsbury's in Providence Place on Thursday from 9-12pm, before attending Pinkneys Green Community Centre in Blenheim Road from 6-7.30pm.
