Motorcyclist still in hospital after A4 crash

A motorcyclist injured in a rush-hour smash on the A4 in Maidenhead is still in hospital.

The rider, taken to Wexham Park Hospital following the accident on Friday morning, was described today as being in a 'serious but stable' condition.

Police were called to the scene near the Shire Horse Centre on the Bath Road towards Reading at 7.45am, following the collision between a blue Honda ST1300 motorbike and a silver Saab car.

The woman driving the Saab was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been released on police bail.
